BRIDAL MAKEUP ARTIST MYTHS ⠀ 🧐 Assumption; Makeup is something you wash off 😇 Response; Bridal makeup is an investment! Brides often thank me when they get their professional photos and directly after their wedding for the EXPERIENCE (comfort level, having fun on the day, support in their journey throughout) plus the makeup staying well throughout the day. 🧐Assumption; All makeup artist are the same 🤩 Response; We are all unique! That’s the beauty of our industry and why prices vary. There is no “one size fits all”, find someone who’s style you like, budget will also come into it. Usually, rule of thumb...experience + demand + skill level = higher prices. 😕Assumption; MUAs just add an extra 0 when they realise it’s your wedding 🥰Response; Bridal hair and makeup is so much more than just turning up and doing the job. It’s an ongoing relationship between your artist and bride from the moment they book - Im your wedding BFF. It’s a huge deal to be part of someone’s wedding day! I do not take that lightly and thus there is an element of stress / pressure. I provide a luxury experience. I definitely do not skimp on products / technique, as I want to ensure the makeup stays flawless all day-it’s a reflection of my work! 🧐Assumption; I’m having my small event at home now, why is the price still the same? 🥳Response; Don’t you still want to look just as amazing? I’m pretty sure a large majority of brides would also want to look back at their photos in 10 years time and be happy they invested. This is of course a personal choice though! It also doesn’t impact the amount of work needed to complete a bridal hair and makeup booking, the process is the same (for me) ⠀ 😯Assumption; MUAs turn up, do hair and makeup and leave!⠀ ⭐️Response; I offer exclusively which means I only take on one bride per date. I don’t believe in cramming as many brides as I can - first of all, that would be very stressful and secondly not at all fair on my brides!
