It’s good to be back under a barebell (squatclean emoji) 🤙🏽 Last time I lifted over 110kg was on the 11th June, almost 3 months ago. This isn’t a personal best but I’m taking it as a PB!! Why do pb’s have to always be about higher weight lifted numbers? I’ll tell you why I’m taking it as a pb... During those months without consistent training, not eating enough food or the right foods, not drinking enough water and getting use to working out in 30 degrees heat all the time, it’s been a struggle getting back into full fitness but there’s been a hell of a lot of fun travelling around and living in Bali for the last 2 months, so it’s about balance and doing what makes you happy. My weight before leaving the UK was averaging between 75-78kg weighed in the morning before food and water, and my squat clean pb was 117.5kg around 132% of my body weight. Today I weighed myself after breakfast and water and weighed 68.7kg meaning today I squat cleaned around 141% of my body weight, and it felt about 85% RPE so that is the reason I’m taking this as a PB. Almost a 10% increase of body weight lifted ratio, I’m at my lightest weight ever while doing CrossFit during the last 2 years, and it’s hard to accept when you can’t lift as heavy as you did 3 months ago but it’s all about enjoying the process but most importantly it’s about enjoying your life.
