Watching my dog touch seawater for the first time was easily in my top 10 favorite life experiences. I have seen god. It was Thanksgiving Day, 45 degrees out, and my friend Brett swam in the ice-cold water at Ferry Beach. But the funny thing is, he wasn’t the only one doing it. This other person in the water, an older woman, was shouting at her friend (who was on the shore with me) about how strong the current was. It’s true, it was strong. A few seconds later, she was all the way over there! I told Brett to be careful. Q touched the water once and retreated instantly, which is weird cause she’s a cancer 🦀
