I’ve probs bitten off more than I can chew BUT.. I’m running the London & New York marathons this year, 4 weeks apart... πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ I’d only ever ran the sporadic V slow 5k until last year - a V bleak time of grief when that low mileage became a meditative go-to. Then last winter, I joined a casual Sat AM club & found some special people who made me believe I could do more than I thought ❀️ So I ran 10k. Then I ran my first half this May. Without training... Just Do It. Eh? βœ”οΈ Now I’m attempting to run two actual marathons. On Oct 2 and Nov 6. Lol! This time, I got my own training plan from a (female!) coach, and a fitness watch. I even downloaded Strava! I’m nervous but excited & hoping I’ll finish β€” and I’ve decided to fundraise for @mindcharity, an organisation apt for lots of runners, & which offers people support & solace that might change their life.
