It has been an extremely difficult week for queer people in Aoteaora. Queer people are still not safe in Aotearoa, despite years of tireless activism by hundreds of queer people. As a community, we are resilient - we have overcome many struggles and that’s made us stronger than anyone who hates us. Our community will build back stronger. We always have shown that we have each other’s back. But we don’t have to be so strong all the time.
