2022 has been nothing short of lively for Red Velvet. The dynamic K-Pop supergroup, nearing nine years in the industry, have released three separate projects bolstering an already impressive discography: Bloom, their first studio album in Japanese, The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm, and most recently, The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday.
Spoiling their fan base, the ReVeluv, with a plethora of different releases, we caught up with the band at the close of an incredibly busy year curious to hear how they believe their sound has progressed since they first came together: “It’s sometimes is a little challenging because we always want to surprise our fans and listeners, but it’s very rewarding to see their reactions when we come back with new albums,” Joy tells Glass in the winter issue.
Though there sound has certainly defined their careers, their visual narrative is as equally important and one that has continued to grow with each and every release, their recent Birthday music video being no exception: “We try to come up with a storyline that both, directly and indirectly, expresses the track and and think about the visual and styling that suits the storyline the best,” mentions Joy.
