If you know me you know my music, but you probably also know that I moonlight as a graffiti artist. When I started rhyming and tagging, I went by “Spade”, or “The Ace of Spades”. Then at 13 (edit: now that I look back I think I was actually 11 years old) I decided to use “Skyzoo” as my emcee name but still would tag Spade. After seeing a million “Spades” every time I would tag up, a young Skyler decide to retire Spade altogether and use Skyzoo for both my ink pen and my sharpie. Fast forward to last night at the Köln show, a fan brought up some vinyl for me to sign as well as a small canvas, solely for tagging. When I saw it I said “yea I gotta go back to my old Spade days, being that this is a canvas”. So this supporter who came by is the only person who has my Spade tag, unless you worked for the MTA in the 90’s and took a piece of a wall that I tagged after school. Who knows.
