Lola June turned ONE! 🤍🐰🎀 When I was pregnant I spent a lot of time going through old photo albums that my mom had organized from our childhood. There were countless books filled with memories and I’ll never forget looking through the pictures of my first birthday. It was simple and at a park with my family, balloons, and cake (there may have been a clown, but we won’t talk about that), and I just looked so happy. Last night my husband and I were talking about how maybe they won’t remember these moments (even though we will), but they can definitely feel things at this age. I knew I wanted Lola to feel so loved and so happy on her birthday. The decor was homemade, her favorite stuffed animals wore party hats, we had pizza and ice cream, and Lola devoured the birthday cake I made for her the night before (face first lol). It was simple and she was so happy. And I just know she felt so, so loved. She has changed my whole life and I can truly say that while I am still getting to know this new version of myself, it is my favorite one yet.
