This Juneteenth, I had the incredible opportunity to put together a special activation for the Metropolitan Museum of Art inspired by Harlem Renaissance photographer James Van Der Zee at Harlem’s annual Juneteenth Celebration. With just a week’s notice, and with the help from @marcjfranklin @sizemorenick and @streetmeetpromos we were able to capture the essence of festival-goers in the style of the artist from The Met’s current exhibition The Harlem Renaissance.
