Let’s give a shout out to some special local partners that are connecting Detroit students with the wonder of camping this weekend. Many local high schools are creating Outdoor Adventure Clubs to help teachers and youth get into nature and with support from the National Park Foundation, the BOAT Bus, the YMCA, Detroit Parks and Rec, and Detroit Outdoors, twenty students will camp along the shore of Lake Michigan at Indiana Dunes National Park. Many will be camping for the first time in their lives!
