THE INTIMACY OF: Monarch Butterflies 🐛 =🦋 (there was only this blue one lol) A North America iconic pollinator, this one I found in Boothbay Harbor, Maine was eating lunch but not solo. Bumble bees 🐝 joined in on the festival of flowers 🌸 but not without a few fights along the way (last slide). I sat here for about 20 minutes and watched this one feed🍴and slap a bee 🐝 every minute or so. Beautiful, elegant - and, fleeting - monarchs live for about 2-6 weeks. Unsure where in the life span this one was at but knowing that by the time I head back home, this one would have passed away. This moment taught me about time and how little we have of it. 24 hours could seem like a lifetime but to months, years - it’s a second. I really want to find use in each hour and try my best to do my best for my dreams and self each and everyday. Time is precious - such a cliche saying but I think we really need to sit with that phrase a bit longer. Being present is the ultimate goal.
