Join us on October 28th for a stunning original dinner experience in partnership with @asuartmuseum as they celebrate the opening of "Lucha Libre: Beyond the Arenas," a groundbreaking exhibition featuring works by internationally-recognized Mexican and Chicanx contemporary artists along with rare collectors’ items such as film posters and memorabilia from some of the sport’s most famous wrestlers. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception set on the outdoor terraces, featuring seasonal passed bites, creative cocktails, and the opportunity to interact with these incredible artists. Guests will then experience a multi-course, inspired family-style dinner in the beautiful Antoine Predock-designed subterranean entryway to the museum. Throughout the evening, get a first look at the Lucha Libre exhibition, which goes beyond its popularity in contemporary culture to reveal the sports’ ancient roots, explore its influence on socio-political movements and link its relationships to the visual culture of Mexico and beyond. The phenomenon of Lucha Libre transcends the glitz and glamor of the theatrical stage, to become a way to investigate themes of the underdog and the hero; identity and performance; and collective resistance to authority.
