In addition to the five collars funded by the ECF in January, @ecoexisttrust have received five additional collars from @wearewilderness and two from @wildbirdtrust. The 12 collars have been deployed and the movement data will provide additional insight into resource use and the ecological impacts of elephants around the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Data analysis will help identify elephant corridors to guide land use planning and minimize competition for resources and reduce conflict. The findings from this project will inform effective management and reduce human-elephant conflict around the Okavango Delta.
