This routine incorporates simple techniques for achieving more fullness throughout and root lift. 1. Start with clean, damp hair. Apply Cake Beauty’s The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream. This cream provides so much shine, moisture, and slip. If you have fine hair, only use a small amount. 2. Create a small part in the front, just about 1 inch. Direct the rest of the hair back for that “no part” voluminous look. 3. Apply Cake Beauty’s The Curl Whip Whipped Curl Mousse. Rake through hair thoroughly. 4. Pick up a horizontal section of hair around the crown, and brush the hair up and back to create root lift at the crown and cover the scalp. Use a brush to define any face-framing curls, but avoid brush styling your whole head to maintain fullness. 5. Scrunch with a hair towel. If more hold is desired, scrunch in a light layer of mousse. 6. Diffuse upside down for volume. Use the diffuser prongs to lift the roots up and hold. 7. While the hair is still warm, use root clips along the top section. Let them sit for at least 5-10 minutes or longer, then remove.
