Last week, The Australian government bought 450,000 doses of the monkeypox vaccine after The World Health Organization declared the disease a global public health emergency. So what is monkey pox and should you be worried? Harun Tulunay, a sexual health worker, contracted monkeypox in early June. He suffered severe symptoms of the virus, including fever, aches and blisters but is now fully recovered and back to health. The monkeypox outbreak has hit Europe the hardest with cases rising every day. Cases have also been reported in the US, Canada, Nigeria, Israel, Brazil, Mexico and other countries.
