Dear Diary, I often think, Look at all the great artists we lost because there’s other ways to pass the time now. Living up to your potential in this era can be hard. Back in the day, distractions were minimal And the days needed to be filled. Think about the artwork I would have churned out like clockwork, my mind unclouded by external media Back when the veil was thin Leaving authentic ideas to float in Too much dopamine now, too many ways to waste time, too many sources of pleasure. Yet there is a silver lining - Look at all the great artists we gained because there’s inspiration all around. Ideas make great gifts!
