October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month !!! Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) was launched nationwide in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues. Join us for the Purple Purse Tea Party, which will be held at the Wallis Annenberg Building at Exposition Park Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. It's going to be a celebration dipped in sparkle! And it’s @kandeerochelle Birthday! There will be an exciting show full of music and entertainment, great food for the omnivores and vegans alike, phenomenal people (like yourself) to network and connect with, and opportunities to learn more about healing and transformation firsthand from the viewpoint of those who have been victimized by violence and those who serve and support them. We will also honor the exemplary violence prevention advocates and community partners who have positively impacted our work and the youth we serve in a profound way. While the Purple Purse Tea Party will absolutely be a good time, it also aims to raise awareness about Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Financial Abuse, and Bullying - which affects everyone, especially the most compromised and vulnerable members of our community.
