The East Troublesome fire in October 2020 was the 2nd largest in CO history, sweeping 193,000 acres and destroying hundreds of homes in 36 hours. We rode Stillwater Pass a few days ago, not knowing its history at the time but witnessing firsthand the burned remnants of the forest, contrasted by the vibrant wildflowers. 💛
