I get it...most people who use a thick bar pad when squatting are newbies who don’t tend to know what they’re doing. But that doesn’t mean it’s useless. Don’t believe me? Try it - it actually makes squatting harder, not easier. Sort of like a safety squat bar. If you have weak quads like me, you’ll feel exposed. Like most things in life, you gotta learn the rules first until you can learn how to break the rules.
