Currently on view in our 509 W 24th Street viewing rooms is Ghada Amer’s “My Body, My Choice.” Throughout her work, Amer employs a variety of techniques calling attention to the limits and restrictions placed upon women's bodies and behaviors. By allowing the viewer to physically engage with her garden installation, Amer encourages an active reflection on bodily autonomy while simultaneously reconstructing our spacial and visual perceptions of art through the decidedly feminine occupation of gardening.
