One thing I have found, and constantly keep realizing, is that the things so many people are chasing are not going to fulfill the human heart. The “stuff”, the huge house, the cars etc… it’s all temporary and fleeting. I’ve experienced what it is to have nothing and I’ve experienced what it is to have much, but let me tell you- the “stuff” hasn’t added any happiness to me. Where I’ve found TRUE joy is in God. In communion with Him and close relationship with Him. Even when I had nothing, I remember being so fulfilled with the little I had- because if you have Jesus, you have everything you need. The only permanent things in life are God and people… I want to spend my life investing into those, the things that matter more than anything else. Just some thoughts I’ve been having lately.
