Cat lovers and wine lovers rejoice, Whiskers and Wine is now open in University Heights. Owner Nicole Smith came across a cat cafe in Charleston North Carolina and knew that she had to open up her own. The rooftop cat cafe has a full liquor license and serves paninis, flatbreads and charcuterie boards. The lounge allows you to play, cuddle and pet the cats who all come from Saving One Life, a no-kill shelter that pulls cats from other high kill shelters. They’ve been open for 3 weeks and have already adopted 15 cats. They plan to host kitten yoga sessions, artist mixers and beer and wine tastings.
