Skip To The End by Molly James 🌟 For synopsis please swipe ➡️ Guys, I have literally been waiting for the social blast week so I could rave about this one because I’m kind of obsessed! It’s just the most wholesome, heartwarming story and it left me with hearts in my eyes for days 🤣 Amy has a gift (or curse?) which has really made dating a bummer. When she kisses someone new, she can see exactly how their relationship is going to end - and it usually doesn’t end well, so she usually doesn’t waste her time. Except one night, exceptionally drunk at a wedding, she finally sees her happy ending. Only problem is, that wasn’t her only kiss of the night and she can’t actually remember who it was with - so she’ll just have to date all of the possible candidates... Ok so I have to state the obvious first, which is that whilst I adored this, the ending is pretty obvious immediately so if you really crave surprise in your romance novels (why?! 😧) then move along. Hopefully most of you are still here though, because half the joy of a romance novel is knowing there’s a happy ending coming your way! And aside from that, this one was really different and also had one of the best friendship groups I’ve read, with some great and hilarious dialogue between the group of friends. Amy is also just utterly charming, and so are a couple of her love interests (I’m not giving anything away yet!) - I loved some of the deep and insightful conversations she had whilst exploring the different men, plus there were some dogs involved so 👍👍👍 For those who don’t like the idea of the slightly supernatural, you really don’t need to worry about it - it’s not played up much at all in the book, and it’s more of an accepted fact rather than taking things to a fantasy level. Just gives a cute lil’ plot point! Whilst romance and friendship were at the heart of the story, the storyline of Amy’s mum’s dementia also really resonated with me and was beautifully done with sadness, joy and tenderness. It was just one of those stories I was completely wrapped up in that felt instantly familiar and cosy, and I can’t recommend it enough 💙 #SkipToTheEnd is out Thursday from @quercusbooks 🌟
