Opening today "La Trama del Visibile" at Musei Civici Reggio Emilia, curated by @ilacampioli. The exhibition inaugurates the new photographic section of @museicivicire and emphasizes how photography is, first of all, an object that exists in space and time in its materiality. I will present works from the series Caminantes along with a new suspended sculpture composed of materials like Peruvian wool, Murano glass, nets and ropes from the Venetian lagoon, recycled plastic resins, and natural pigments. The different bodies of the sculpture are held together by means of seams and welds and the shape is given by the tension created by the ligatures. These formal solutions have as their main source of inspiration the observation of the personal moorings of the inhabitants of the Venetian lagoon and are finished by mixing textile and yarns made in collaboration with the Andeans communities.
