On June 10th, as Afghan art activist I joined @malala , @malalafund @gretathunberg , and activists from @fridaysforfuture and @riseupmovement1 movements in Stockholm to stand in solidarity with the climate movements. We discussed the link between girls' education and climate action and the situation of afghan girls who are out of school and their human rights are violated. This means that their futures are destroyed, as is their enormous potential to develop sustainable ways to solve climate change. As of today, millions of Afghan girls have been banned from attending school for close to a year. Many other women in Afghanistan have no right to work, make decision, appear in media or engage in politics. Future is important, and it should include freedom, justice, and equality for all people everywhere in the world.
