It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. While I love this sport with all my heart, and I owe everything to it, I knew it would come to an end. I wish it had a happier ending for my team and I, but I would not trade this year I got with some of the most incredible people for anything else. From the hot pink beam in my living room, to convention centers, to the Palestra and finally Crisler, I can say I’ve had one hell of a journey. This sport knocked me down with broken bones and frustration, but it also gave me not one but two families and for that I’m the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you Penn. Thank you Michigan.
