First time doing any self practice in a few weeks. Wow my body feels different. It's a little slower and little heavier. Perfect for the winter. Embracing the changes my body goes through. From post period bloating to eating all the chips (crisps đ). I'm ok with the fact that I don't want to move much.
We preach so much as teachers.
"Don't compare yourself"
"Stay in your lane"
"Honour the process of change"
"Listen to your body"
It's quite hard to take leaf out of your own book.
Sometimes I just want to say "F**k it... I want to be/look/do better than [insert person that I look up to]"
I think it's ok to allow a sprinkling of the ego to arrive to work harder to achieve our goals. Of course with the right intentions and mindfulness.
Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.
We're all here just trying to be better at something.
Everything in moderation innit.
