Our water work was some of the most challenging to direct for various reasons including: directing a team in a massive, HUMID (echo-ey)YMCA pool BEHIND A MASK for 12+ hours, stunt work that Manny, @mollystunts and @mameanna_diop collaborated on, children extras under 10, the CAPRICIOUS element of water + practical SFX, a serious time crunch that required us to consolidate coverage... So much magic during our water days. Thankful for our AD @kate_branom, my smart assistant @aichaxc , @the_rinayang ‘s brazen leadership re: lighting/camera and our fearless/generous producers (@nikknikknikknikk) etc. 🧜🏾‍♀️🌊🖤 DP / @the_rinayang Underwater DP / @iantakahashi Inevitably leaving out folks b/c I can’t remember their IG’s 😩 (help me ya’ll) +++the rest of the amazing underwater team. Everyone busted their asses. These are the glacial, unsexy parts of the process no one sees. 🎬
