Ralph Erskine built his first time home with his own hands at Lissma, south of Stockholm, on a plot given to him by a farmer. Ingenious compact structures shoe-horned all the functions of a home into the minimal space available. The original house no longer exists. It was replaced in 1989 by an exact replica on the island of Lovön, not far from Erskines later home. The photographs show the reconstruction.
