I have a tattoo on my arm that says, “The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses- behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.” I have always believed that the race is never won on race day. The race is won through all of the hours, days, weeks, and months of hard work in preparation.
