I just spent two weeks in Japan exploring the beautiful fall colors this country has to offer. Here are three travel hacks that made my Japan trip so much fun. If you plan to go to Japan, save this for your planning! 🚊 Download the Suica digital card on your phone. Not only it’s very convenient to use while using public transportation, but it also works as a payment option in almost all stores and funding machines. You can’t use your credit card in some stores, but most will accept Suica. 🗣️ Download Google Translate. Japanese love their culture and language. Even in Tokyo, not many people actually speak English. So it’s handy to have a translator when you need to call for a restaurant reservation or ask for directions. Also, it’s just more polite to adopt their language and culture instead of forcing our way and habits from home. 🛜 Have a reliable wifi connection. Exploring Japan by public transport is very convenient but can also be confusing. There are way too many exit options in their stations that, if you take the wrong one, can cost you an extra 20-minute walk to your destination. So having reliable internet any time of the day will allow you to avoid this mistake, as Google Maps usually has information on the exit number you should take. For this trip, I used #sapphire3 pocket wifi from @travelwifi.en . Its unlimited data coverage, lightweight device, and strong battery life make it the perfect travel wifi! What other travel hacks would you add here to make exploring Japan more convenient?
