Students are prepared to become the next generation of Liberian solar technicians thanks to our partnership with @hillstopschoolsliberia! Last month, Hilltop Schools completed their solar installation training program, the final step to wrapping up our 2021 Partnership. In addition to outfitting the school's campus, including a brand new computer center, with solar energy to replace their diesel generators, the @honnoldfoundation funded technician training and a new curriculum for the school's students. Liberia has one of the lowest rates of electricity access in the world. In the capital city of Monrovia, just 16.8% of residents have access to electricity in their homes— largely from gasoline or diesel generators. Consequently, Liberian students have little to no access to computers, or opportunities to learn modern computational skills.
