(And some self published authors make WAY more than me!) One thing I see a lot & don’t love is people only looking at the bad side of a publishing path to justify why they chose theirs & discouraging others from pursuing a certain path bc it didn’t personally work out for them. Every kind of publishing has issues, it will work out differently depending on the author/book, and no path is better or worse than the other: just different pros and cons. You should always look at every aspect of any publication career choice you make, all the good and bad of both and then decide for yourself. The exception to this is scams and vanity presses btw!
