There are so many different forms of fighting, from boxing to bullfighting and everything in between. I am not a fighter in that way, but I am always interested by anything that has a visual effect on me. Fighting is such a universal thing. Capturing these battles or fighters is so exciting. The movements, the force, the unpredictability. It is always so different, and yet so common at the same time. Some fighting styles are almost like a choreographed performance, where others seem like pure adrenaline. I have photographed many of these fighting clans around the world. These stunning men are known as Bökh wrestlers, from Mongolia. I drove for hours to this wrestling competition in the middle of the country, and had to try and convince them to pose for my pictures between their fights. They probably had other things on their minds, but luckily they agreed and immediately showed me this unexpected vulnerability and power.
