Last week I was invited to a beautiful supper club hosted by the lovely @vernahungrybanana and @amazonfreshuk at @carousel_ldn . The menu was devised and cooked by @chefjamescochran with all the ingredients came from, you guessed it the physical and virtual shelves of Amazon Fresh
Started the night with a filo tartlet with beef tartare, truffle emulsion, shaved mushrooms and crispy seaweed. One Word DIVINE!
Moved on to a chip shop inspired fish course of smoked cod, curry sauce, scraps, young herbs & grapefruit. It really tasted like an elevated fish & chips.
Then moving on to Slow braised belly of pork with a celeriac purée, chive emulsion, balsamic onions, apple sauce and the BOUGIEST hash brown potatoes ever!
Finished with a reimagined & deconstructed Sticky toffee pudding. With a brown sugar mousse, date and earl grey gel, caramelised white chocolate, yoghurt and fresh pear.
Literally blown away with this meal and also really impressed with the selection available online at Amazon Fresh.. They have all the household brands you’d expect, some really incredible artisan brands and they have even launch their own Amazon branded goods (The GF & Wheat fee Chocolate Shortbreads are AMAZING)
