It’s the first TOMI song I ever wrote...I was working as a secretary at a hedge fund by day and playing punk shows with my band XNY at night. I had so much pent up energy and was stuck in a cycle that felt impossible to break free from. So, I screamed these lyrics (noises?!) into my shitty microphone, strummed a dumb fuzzy guitar line and unknowingly power-kicked open a new door. It was the beginning of doing things my way...which feels appropriate to share now as I prepare for my upcoming debut album out this fall!!
