💥 THIS is my biggest fear 😧 Pulmonary Embolism & Death during temple filler procedures. Yes this is EXTREMELY RARE !!️ But prevention is always priority 😇 Research 🔬 tells us the Middle Temporal Vein (MTV) embolism has resulted in death when filled with fat or filler that created an embolism. Pulmonary embolisms 🫁 resulting in hospitals and death ☠️ have been reported. This was filmed 🎥 yesterday during a Head & Breakfast 🍳 anatomy workshop in my studio. I used my portable Clarius L20 ultrasound before and during Whitney’s treatment. I saw a large MTV 📺 within the interfacial plane and wanted to avoid it. I used Dr. Steve Weiner’s technique 💉 to place saline first to be extra safe and to ensure the proper plane, and to separate the plane as well.
