I’m part of a group of genetic genealogists who help people find their birth families using DNA. My clients put their DNA up on genealogy sites like Ancestry and 23 and Me in search of answers. Then nerdiness ensues. I study DNA matches, map out family trees, and pop pieces into place until I land in the pocket of the birth family. Solving a case can take hours, days, months, and even years... if you can give a little bit it can become a lot of help for someone on this journey!
