Last night I played one of the greatest shows of my life so far. Playing the @fiservforum is kinda like winning the championship for me. Last summer when I moved to Nashville, I happened to be back in town during the basketball finals and I remember how attached I was to the idea of @bucks winning. I’m not a sports fan- anyone can tell you that. But I needed the reminder that there is good in the city of Milwaukee and that despite all odds maybe we all would be ok. The feeling of playing that space with my sister @moniqueladora was one I’ll never forget. Thank you Milwaukee for raising me. I am who I am because of the city that taught me how to persevere. @brandicarlile you’re a real one. I dropped off a gift to her dressing room y’all and my ten year old niece was in there with Brandi’s 2 littles running and jumping around with all sorts of toys. Even I’m too much of a diva to have 3 kids in my space before a show 😂😍 It’s affirming to be in this space and I’m grateful and ready for all the work that comes with occupying these spaces. Promptly after the show last night I hopped in a car and was driven to an airport hotel where I spent one hour sleeping before catching a flight to Canada!
