This photo from @jessicawlevin that I found again, she’s the best. She was the first one to come to my house ever and asked me my pronouns before even coming (they/them) and asked how I liked to be portrayed in photographs, things a lot of photographers don’t do. And it sets her work apart, she gets good results and she’s welcome back anytime. Also here are some photos of things been making me happy this rainy season, like flowers and friends and the book “Beyond Magenta”. It’s a short read that covers six trans experiences (four binary, two non-binary). If you identify as trans (don’t identify with what was written on your birth certificate) , reading other’s experiences help you feel less alone. If you don’t, read it anyway to learn more about various trans experiences. Obviously it’s not like “the trans bible” or anything and it’s not compiled by a trans author which we’d all like to see, but it’s *one* source of a six true stories. It’s almost 10 years old now... so I’d like to think trans teens now have a better chance at less dramatic/less violent responses when coming out cause some of the stories are very tough... but the book promotes understanding. And understanding can bring us together ☮️ ✌️ 💗 so cheers to that. What should I read next? I’m curious about the gender fluid character written as the child of Loki in the Magnus Chase series 😊 #nobinarie #nonbinary #trans #queerbooks
