My clients actually started thanking me when I switched from gel pads to foam tape. Now I believe there is a time and a place for both but I will use foam tape 95% of the time if I have the option. Part of the reason is we can get all the way up to the lower waterline and cover all of those lower lashes down to the root. Another part of the reason is because the top waterline can close right down on top of the foam tape creating a barrier, essentially a seal, to keep out fumes from the lash extension glue. On top of that, gel pads only have one life to give and if you adjust them after you have placed them it is pretty much over 🫠 Foam tape is readjustable multiple times and does not swell up like gel pads can if our client’s eyes water. Getting to those inner corners is my favorite part! I tape out to the side right away, get those inner corners done first, and the rest of my set is smooth sailing from there! Have you used foam tape? If so, did you love it or hate it? De-tacking is key before placing so it isn’t uncomfortable upon removal 💖 @lashboxla #lashtape #tapinglashes #howtolash #lashextensiontraining #lashhelp #lashartisthelp #lashprep #lashsetup #lashextensionartist
