Hi I'm Janine... the artist behind the work. I've been drawing and painting since I was 16 years old. I've been cutting hair since I was 17. And I've been combining both mediums since 2012. I love the role hair can play in or as an extension of individualistic style and expression. How HAIR, or the absence thereof, has the power to punctuate you. How it can bring what's on the inside to the outside. How it can make the intangible, tangible. Born and raised in Southern California, lucky enough to grow up around a ton of diversity, and a multitude of cultural hybrids... all of which have heavily influenced my work, and without a doubt, who I am.
