Hey there lovers of art and parks: North Brooklyn Parks Alliance is collaborating with Greenpoint-based artist Steve Wasterval on a new original commission! Titled ‘The Spaces You Love,’ this project is a limited-edition series of prints by Wasterval that depicts nine cherished North Brooklyn green spaces: ❤️ Bushwick Inlet Park 🧡 Cooper Park 💛 Domino Park 💚 LaGuardia Playground 💙 McCarren Park 💜 McGolrick Park 💖 Newtown Creek Nature Walk 🖤 Transmitter Park 🤍 Under the K Bridge Park Working on-site at each park this fall, Wasterval will render these spaces in his distinctive impressionist style with a blue and white color pallet inspired by Dutch porcelain tiles. ‘The Spaces You Love’ is his first series exclusively depicting parks across Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
