Today is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month. At a time when our community is being hunted down and under attack, it is that much more important to highlight our contributions to this country. Today, I’d like to tell yiu about #crisabrego. Cris grew-up a kid in El Monte, CA, addicted to watching tv. On tv at that time, there were few, if any, faces that looked like him, or reflected his experience. He started doing the lowliest grunt work in his work on a tv production set. Eventually, he founded his own production company, which he later sold to an international TV production company, and became its US and Latin American CEO. Last year, he founded @hyphenatemediagroup with @evalongoria. He wears many hats, including, being President of the TV Academy. He’s a producer, an executive, a philanthropist, a mentor, a former college wrestler and a very proud Latino. He has spent his life being the only Latino in the room, and making sure he opens the door for others.
