Three Spelman students will compete on NBC’s “Capital One College Bowl” quiz show hosted by Peyton Manning and Cooper Manning, on Friday, Sept. 16th, at 8 p.m. In this exciting battle of the brains, Annaya Baynes, Maya Leflore and Hailey Jones will represent Spelman College and compete for the coveted “Capital One College Bowl” trophy and $1 million in scholarships. The TV series will feature 16 teams of students representing some of the nation’s top schools going head-to-head in a five-round tournament covering various subjects. Be sure to tune in on Friday, as Spelman takes on the Albany State University Rams during the Qualifier Phase of the show’s second season. Episodes will also be available for streaming on Peacock. In addition to Spelman and Albany State, the other institutions competing this season are Morehouse College, Brigham Young University, Duke University, Ohio State University, University of Oklahoma, Penn State University, Syracuse University, University of California - Santa Barbara, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Notre Dame, University of Washington, University of Texas - Austin and season 1 champion Columbia University.
