Every Friday morning, these seniors get together to bake some of the best Challah in town. ⁠🥨 ⁠ Challah is a braided, festive Jewish bread broken by families on occasions like Shabbat or major holidays. Nessie Hollander has been organizing the baking at the Calgary Jewish Community Centre for more than 15 years. ⁠ ⁠ The volunteers, mostly 85 and over, gather early on Friday mornings to braid, glaze and bake the Challah.
