Meet our neighbor, Ligaya Tichy. Entrepreneur, investor, mentor, advisor, and beyond, Tichy wields her innate zeal and a finesse for community-building to great success. (Growing up in a meditation commune will teach you a thing or two about collective power.) Tichy thrived in roles in the early days of Yelp and Airbnb but soon discovered the costs: She was totally burnt out, as was the city's character and grit. Being pushed out were the avant-garde artists that had created the “intoxicating ideology” of progressive thought that first brought her here.
