We are grateful to see her art flourish throughout the years and to hear about how makeup brings her happiness. Who are you? (she/her) and I’m a 24 year old Taiwanese American angel from Oakland California 💫 I’m a makeup artist by passion but I currently work in marketing. I’m also a mother to Mushu, a sweet leopard gecko! What does your art make you feel like? My art is very linked to my expression of joy, happiness, and confidence. I’m in a growth period currently where I’ve been disconnecting from my larger intricate works and focusing on the simple makeup looks that started my love for it and make me happy. I have been learning how my art grounds me, and letting myself come back into creating in a natural way. Who or what are your inspirations? My mutuals in the community — my friends are number 1!! Also recently been into plant/aquatic animal structures and cyber-futurism fashion. What initially got you into creating looks with makeup? I’ve loved makeup since I was 11 and I made my mom buy me my first glitter eyeshadows ☺️ I love the transformation, standing out, and being unique. I got into more artistic makeup as an outlet to escape and relieve stress during a difficult period of my life. Makeup helped me to feel more like myself and introduced me to an amazing community.
