29.09.22 On the 5th November at @kudhva we’ll be joined by some inspiring local change-makers that are each in their own unique way acting as forces for positive change in the regenerative movement, for a panel debating the role that adventure plays in broadening our understanding of the importance of a more regenerative future, and how adventure can be used as a tool for positive ecological change.
We’re so pleased to announce that filmmakers Joya & Lucy Jane of @therighttoroamfilms, growers and music makers Milo & Rory of @earthbound.cornwall23 as well as cider maker Georgie of @ripe__cider will be joining to share with us their stories of adventures past and present.
Set in a 45 acre abandoned quarry, overlooking the sea, Kudhva meaning ‘hideout’ in Cornish is intended as a place to escape from the everyday and to be immersed in the landscape. The experience of getting away from the norm and really being where we are is valuable not only for the respite of the frenetic pace of life but in providing perspective on what is important for a more sustainable future. We know there is an innumerable amount to learn from living in a way that is more connected to the natural world, being outdoors and witnessing different ways of interacting with the land.
It’s felt clear to us that since the easing of lockdown, and instability being something we have all become accustomed to since the pandemic, our enthusiasm for placing ourselves out of our comfort zone is fierce. Experiences that challenge us mentally and physically have long said to help expand and inform our ideas and motivations.
