This is probably the most empowering quote I’ve ever written🥹 There was a time I thought proving my worth was acting like I didn’t have a disability, like I didn’t need any accommodations and I could perform a job “just like anyone else” and boyyyyy did that way of life destroy me. They’ll take advantage, they’ll refuse accommodations, they’ll deny you the promotion - and like a supervisor from a previous job once said TO MY FACE “you wanted equal treatment well this is it, you get no pass”. No more, never again, allow me to reintroduce myself as the fiercest advocate for EQUITY and not EQUALITY. It’s not a one size fits all!
